Children's Chapter 2011: A Huge Success |
|
On March 19, 2011, the Jacksonville Public Library Foundation hosted the annual Children's Chapter event in the main library with a great turnout. Local authors Catherine Burkee, Katie Monnin, Jane Wood and Robert Melosh and, of course, our National Book Award winning author Kimberly Willis Holt entertained the children with exciting art activities and readings. Clifford the Big Red Dog and Miss Rosa from PBS Preschool Block also stopped by to join in the fun!
A special thanks to the Jacksonville Public Library, all of our community partners, our volunteers, our co-chairs, Dana Welcker and Justin Taylor, and to everyone else who helped raise awareness to early childhood literacy. Already looking forward to next year!
